Artist Statement

My practice explores transformation - the silent processes through which form arises, evolves, and dissolves. I am drawn to the threshold between the visible and the invisible, where matter seems to remember its origin in something beyond itself.

Each work begins as a gesture rather than an image - a movement unfolding from within. I follow natural archetypes such as the sphere, the Möbius strip, the Saddle form and the Oloid, whose continuous surfaces embody the rhythm of becoming. By tracing their inner logic, I allow the sculpture to reveal itself gradually, as if grown rather than made.

Through series like Vestiges -Before Matter- and Vestiges -Relic of the Future-, I explore two directions of the same mystery: how the immaterial condenses into form, and how the physical world bears traces of what precedes or outlives it.

My For Hands sculptures invite touch - an intimate dialogue between body and form. Rooted in a Japanese sensibility where seeing and touching intertwine, these small works ask the viewer to encounter sculpture through the hands, not just the eyes.

Across all these explorations, I seek to make perceptible what Henry Moore called “the Vital” - the living presence that breathes through form itself. My work searches for that quiet moment when matter transcends its boundaries, becoming both a relic and a beginning - a vestige of something still coming into being.
